So once again, I got myself busy with a fashion event. This year we did it differently. Together with Retreat Day Spa on the Promenade we booked Shearwater Restaurant for an evening event with champagne and canapes. The verandah became the catwalk with chairs along each side. It was a first in best dressed seating arrangement. With 90 guest we had to extend it into the outdoor patio as well.
Our very own florist Emma from Emma Louise Flowers arranged flowers in hanging pots and of course the fairy lights of Shearwater added to the atmosphere. Luke the chef made yummy platters, Finn and the waitresses kept busy pouring drinks and the place got buzzing.
The Greenroom models were of all ages, from early 20's to 70's and of different shapes and sizes cause that's how I like it to be. I wanted all my girls to be happy with what they were showing because there is nothing worse than having to strut out in something that makes you feel uncomfortable. Michelle from Hair on The Promenade came to our rescue with curling tongs, pins and spray. Michelle gave my hair some body with a gorgeous creation. I wish she could do my hair every day. We all looked positively lovely!
To raise funds for Beth Murray, we ran a raffle on the night. With $2 you basically bought a set of 8 pads for 1 feminine hygiene kit and got yourself a raffle ticket. At the end of the night we pulled the lucky winners who received surprise gifts from either shop.
After the show, the shops were filled with guest wanting to use up their vouchers. Greenroom boutique was crowded. A bit of hectic fun. The wise ones came back through the week since we extended the use by date of the vouchers. If you were there on the night, thank you for supporting us and if you missed out I hope you can make it to the next one.
Here are some photos from the night.
